The Norwalk Juicer Hydraulic Press

The Norwalk Juicer is a hydraulic press, which extracts juice by pressing and squeezing liquid out of fruit and vegetables. This machine has two operating mechanisms, grinding and pressing within the one unit. Producing very little oxidation it is able to yield more juice of better nutrient quality than most extractors.

Versatile:

Valued at $2000, the Norwalk has multiple functions including grinding wheat berries, seeds and nuts. Fruits, vegetables, leafy greens and grasses including sugar cane and wheat grass yield juice easily. Hard fruits and vegetables such as coconuts and carrots are triturated and pressed. Softer citrus fruits don't need to be pressed and are only triturated. Dry pulp from hydraulic pressure contains valuable vitamins and minerals, which can be added to fresh soups and baked goods such as homemade muffins and bread.

Extraction:

The triturating grinder and cutter tears the fruit and vegetable flesh apart into a linen cloth lined tray. This is then placed into a motorized hydraulic press and squeezed between two stainless steel plates. Extremely high pressure extracts juice, which is filtered through the bag with the remaining dry pulp left inside.

Yield:

As produce is gently pressed and air is minimal, fresh juice can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Juice can be sealed in a single portion container with little difference to taste, color and nutrients. The Norwalk is extremely efficient at extracting liquid, resulting in a pulp, which is as dry as sawdust.

Cleaning:

Stainless steel parts are easy to clean and dishwasher safe whereas the linen bags are time consuming to clean. To compensate, the Norwalk enables you to keep quality batches of juice for days, which is an advantage over other methods of extraction.

Made of solid stainless steel and built to last, the Norwalk juicer is more versatile than most extractors. The advantage of the hydraulic press is its ability to produce the maximum amount of juice from pulp fiber. It may not be the easiest juicer to use or clean but is the most efficient of all types.
