The Grape Juice Diet
The Grape Juice Diet is rich in natural fruit sugar and is only recommended as an addition to a healthy eating diet. Grape Juice is a natural source of quick energy as it is rapidly absorbed through the blood. Natural fruit sugar in grape juice helps the body burn some of its stored fat making it an effective tool for weight loss.
Grape Juice from organic grapes is a low glycemic juice thereby stabilizing blood sugar levels. A premium source of vitamins C and K, grape juice has been linked to improved short-term memory, coordination and balance. A diet including grapes and grape juice may also benefit blood pressure and arterial function.
It is one of the few fruits, rich in iron, and an excellent blood builder for poor circulation, low blood pressure and skin problems. Grape juice in the diet provides a great source of potassium, which encourages an alkaline blood balance, stimulating the kidneys and regulating the heartbeat.
Eating grapes also helps weight loss. Red or purple grapes increase hormone production to regulate appetite and increase protein to enhance fat burning. These antioxidants are concentrated in the skin and seeds so the benefits will only arise through eating grapes rather than through grape juice alone.
The only adverse effect of drinking too much grape juice is that red grape juice can inhibit the uptake of iron. This could increase the risk of iron-deficiency anemia, but large quantities of grape juice would have to be consumed regularly for this to occur.

The Grape Juice Diet consists of the following:
Fasting for two days, during which only cold water is consumed. A daily enema is also given. After the fast, a diet of only grapes or grape juice is followed for one to two weeks. One to three ounces of grapes are consumed every two hours during the day (seven meals a day). Water is consumed as needed.
Fresh fruits, tomatoes, and sour milk or cottage cheese are then added to the diet. A variety of raw foods are then introduced. More solid foods are then added to the diet. This consists of one fruit each day for breakfast, a cooked lunch, and a mixed salad for dinner.
Eating or drinking fresh grape juice from organic grapes is a healthy addition to any diet. But eating only one type of fruit or consuming one type of fruit juice for an extended period of time is not healthy. Loss of weight can only be maintained: through exercise, healthy eating from a variety of foods and juicing from a range of fresh fruits and vegetables.
