How Well Does Juicing Carrots Restore Hair?

Juicing carrots can help to restore hair color and tone. Coloring hair with natural ingredients such as juiced carrots is cleaner and less damaging than using chemical dyes. Fresh carrot juice will not remove your natural hair color and works gently with your hair.

Restoring hair color with fresh carrot juice will take several treatments over a period of time before the color takes effect. Beneficial results are going to depend on your natural hair color, the condition of your hair, and the use of fresh organic carrot juice.

The following natural carrot rinse will add bright rich red tones to fading red hair. This natural recipe can also camouflage stray gray hairs. In addition brown hair can be improved with fresh carrots by providing rich warm tones. Carrot juice can also be effective on blondes and light brown hair by providing gold enhancers to the natural hair color.

2 large carrots (preferably organic) Water (preferably distilled) Cut 2 large carrots into bite size pieces. Place them into 2 cups of water and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat so that the solution simmers for 15 minutes or until the water has turned orange. Allow the rinse to cool then remove the carrots (you can eat them later). Once cooled use the carrot juice and water to pour over and saturate your dry hair. Wrap your hair in plastic wrap or cover your hair with a shower cap and wait 20 minutes. Rinse well and condition as usual.

Drinking fresh carrot juice regularly may have a positive effect on hair color.
